Georg and Hannes Plattner at the start of the GF Strade Bianche

Yesterday the 10th edition of the Granfondo Strade Bianche took place in Siena (Tuscany). 

The route is 137.7km long and has an elevation gain of 2000m. What is special about it, is that a large part is on unpaved roads, a total of 42.6km. A very different event! 

For Georg and Hannes Plattner the main focus was on having fun with friends. For both athletes, the preparation was not specifically geared towards this. Nevertheless, they were able to deliver very good performances: 

Hannes reached the finish line with a time of 4:39.58 and Gregor in 4:52.18.
