Emma, great performance as the youngest participant in the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon, 227km and 5500+
Emma Egger, 17 years old, had a dream: after accompanying her father over the Timmelsjoch last year as part of the Ötztaler Radmarathon, she wanted to take part in it herself this year. Emma has only been riding her road bike regularly for a year and has only had 4 months of preparation for this difficult cycling marathon. 227km, 5500 + and 4000 participants all over the world, these are the numbers.
Emma has proven during training that she not only has good physical abilities, but also amazing mental abilities for her young age. During the competition, Emma implemented all of this in exactly the same way, especially the race integration.
11:33.31 her final time, which means 93. place in the FAK category and 180. place women overall with 341 women at the start.
Great part of the course Emma cycled together with her father, a very special experience for both.
Dear Emma, I'm very proud and happy, thank you for the great emotions!
