Victoria, Jael and Tim rocked the last weekend, great performances!

Last weekend was yet another thrilling one:

Victoria Dändliker is deep into preparations for her second marathon of the year. We incorporated the Sarnen Half Marathon into her training as a longrun. This meant covering 32 km in total, with 21.1 of those being fast kilometers around Lake Sarnen. Victoria managed to set a strong pace and hold it.

She crossed the finish line in 01:29:38, securing 6th place overall among women. Fantastic job! Now, it’s onward and upward to the marathon. 🚀🔥

Jael Kauth had a challenging August: back issues kept her mostly in physiotherapy and swimming training. Last week, I gave her the green light to participate in the duathlon at Eglisau as a training day.

The taste of competition reignited her spirits, and she crossed the finish line as the first woman. What more can I say? From recovery to winning her very first duathlon—bravo! 👏🏼🥳

And for the grand finale:

Tim Wegmann competed in the IM 70.3 Zell am See on Sunday. The training block after Rappi showed us that Tim had made significant progress, and he approached the start line with well-earned confidence.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t find a group during the swim, so he tackled the 1.9 kilometers solo. Despite this, he managed to set a new personal best for the distance: 28’15”.

On the bike, Tim faced challenges with a lot of drafters. Trying to shake them off, cost him valuable energy. He also lost a bottle of nutrition and after pushing hard for 02:21:55 he began the half marathon, sticking to our strategy of starting slow due to the heat. Sadly, he wasn’t able to push at full pace and show his true running form. He fought through to the finish and he was so disappointed with his race that he didn’t realize he’d won his age group!

Tim, you can and should be incredibly proud! You pushed through adversity and ended up achieving more than expected: 1st place in the M30-34 age group, 8th overall among all age group mens, and a qualification for the IM 70.3 World Championships 2025. 🥇🤗
